Here was a mechanical room project in NYC. The client's dilemma was that they had relocated their cafeteria to an upper floor to accommodate their office personnel. As a result the existing substrate was not designed to handle the new load and it began to flex and eventually cracked, resulting in leakage into the lower levels.
We designed and installed a urethane membrane to resolve the issue once and for all. As you can see from the photos we started by removing the previous lining, diamond ground the surface, "keyed" in the perimeter and drains etc. and finally apply 20 mils of Urethane membrane followed by a epoxy topcoat to protect against the syrups and vegetable oils that it might need to contain.
